FATEHGARH SAHIB:  Sirhind MLA Didar Singh Bhatt's son Gurwinder Singh Bhatti and Jaswant Singh, Sub-Divisional Officer (SDO) of the Zila Parishad, Fatehgarh Sahib, who had made complaint to Fatehgarh Sahib SSP on Thursday against the MLA's son for beating him, Friday reached at a compromise. 

After patch up between the two sides, the SDO, the complainant withdrew his complaint.  As per the directions of Fatehgarh Sahib SSP Nilabh Kishore, SP (Headquarter) Preetpal Singh Virk had started an inquiry into the SDO complaint. Virk visited Zila Parishad office in morning to record the statements of the SDO and other concerned officers.  

Panchyati Raj SDO Association, Punjab president Ranjit Singh and other senior office bearers also reached at the Zila Parishad office for the moral support of Jaswant Singh.   After recording the statements, the SP returned to his officer. Sources said that later when Didar Singh Bhatti reached at the Zila Parishad office and two BDPOs made efforts to resolve the matter. The Association president Ranjit Singh informed the media persons that the MLA spoke to the association and felt regret over the incident in the presence of the MLA's son and senior officers of district administration. He said that the association is satisfied as a written compromise was made.   He said that association is with Jaswant Singh and will always support him.

Meanwhile, some residents of village Brass submitted complaint to Fatehgarh Sahib DC and demanded inquiry against the village former Sarpanch Satnam Singh in various cases of embezzlement.   The present Sarpanch Swarn Kaur alleged that Satnam Singh want to implicate them in false cases. She said that the village residents had already complained against Satnam Singh but no action was taken.

It may be mentioned here that SDO Jaswant Singh in a complaint with the SSP on Thursday alleged that MLA's son and his associate Satnam Singh, a former sarpanch of Brass village and some of the other accomplices descended upon his office and started abusing him. He had also alleged that Gurwinder and Satnam Singh had been asking him to prepare a report against the present Sarpanch of Brass village Swaran Kaur.
