PATIALA: The medical council of India has permitted Gian Sagar Medical College & Hospital, Patiala to admit 100 students of MBBS in Punjab from this session. The dental council of India has also allowed Gian Sagar College to admit 100 students.
The official website of medical council of India which has posted today said that Gian Sagar College & Hospital has permitted u/s 10(A) for 2007-08. With the increase the total number of seats has been raised to 820 in Punjab. Earlier MCI had increased 50 seats in Sri Guru Ram Dass Medical College Amritsar. Meanwhile, the Punjab Government has extended last date for depositing of admission fee to July 26, 2007 for admission to Post Graduate degree/ diploma courses for academic session 2007 in the medical institutions in the State. A spokesman of the Medical Education and Research Department Punjab said that in case the institute/college does not accept the fee, the students selected are allowed to submit the fee in the form of bank drafts drawn in favor of the Principals of concerned institutions to the Registrar, Baba Farid University of Health Sciences, Faridkot. The University may acknowledge its receipt and forward the bank drafts to the respective institutes/colleges. Such students shall be registered by the University as bonafide students. |
