CHANDIGARH: Gulzar Singh Ranike,  Welfare of Scheduled Caste & Backward Classes, Sports, Animal Husbandry, Fisheries, Dairy Development and Youth Services Minister,   Punjab issued directions to Secretary Welfare to form Special teams to check the implementation clearance of backlog in vacancies  for Scheduled Castes   and Backward Classes.

 The Minster said that it has come to his notice that certain Departments Boards & Corporations were not filling the backlog of vacancies & maintaining the proper roster register. He said that team should conduct surprise raids on various departments, Boards and Corporations and submit report to the minister regarding any irregularity found in various Boards and Corporations.

The Minister also said that SAD & BJP government was committed for the welfare of Scheduled Caste and Backward Classes and strict action would be initiated against the erring officer found flouting the direction of the government in filling the backlog of SC/ BCs vacancies. Punjab Government would prepare detailed list of backlog.
