FATEHGARH SAHIB: Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee(SGPC) has decided to provide free heath treatment to SGPC members and their family members.
Sources said that as per the decision of the SGPC, only four members of a family, which includes member's wife and two children will be eligible for getting heath treatment. Sources said that SGPC members may get treatment at 273 private hospitals of 27 towns- 48 in Ludhiana, 38 in Jalandhar, 35 in Amritsar, 21 in Ferozepur, 16 in Mukatsar, 16 in Patiala, 13 in Sangrur, 11 in Chandigarh, ten in Moga, ten in Faridkot, nine in SAS Nager(Mohali), 8 in Hoshiarpur, 6 in Gurdaspur, 6 in Nawashahr, five in Sirhind, 3 in Fatehgarh Sahib, 3 in Kotakpura, 2 in Rupnager, 2 in Nabha, 2 in Mansa, 2 in Samana, 2 in Rajpura, one in Kapurthala, one in Doraha, one in Kharar, one in Sohana , one in Phillaur. There are around 185 members of SGPC. 170 members are elected from Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh and Himachal Pardesh while 15 members have nominated from various state of the country as per the provisions of Gurdwara Act. With the recent decision of the SGPC, now 185 SGPC members are eligible to get free treatment for them and other three family members. Ravinder Singh Khalsa, SGPC member from Amloh of district Fatehgarh Sahib confirmed that he had received a letter from SGPC Secretary about free treatment to SGPC member and his three other family members. |
