CHANDIGARH: Former Haryana Education Minister, Phool Chand Mullana who has been appointed President of Haryana Pardesh Congress Committee(HPCC) Monday met the Chief Minister,  Bhupinder Singh Hooda and  thanked him for providing cooperation in performing his duty successfully during his tenure as Education Minister of the state.

Mullana said that the Chief Minister had provided the financial assistance to the education department for implementation its  various schemes and programmes. He said that working as a member of the Council of Minister under the guidance and leadership of the Chief Minister was a great experience for him.

Mullana thanked the UPA Chairperson  Sonia Gandhi, In charge of the Haryana Congress Party Affairs, Mr. Janardan Dwivedi and the Haryana Chief Minister for appointing him as a President of the Haryana Congress Party. He said that he would try his level best to come up to the mark of the UPA Chairperson. He said that some positive changes would be brought in the organization of the Haryana Pradesh Congress Party.

He  said that being a President of Party, his responsibilities and answerability towards the poor people of the society had increased. Now he will be in the direct contact with the people and he will try his best to strengthen the organization. He said that he will take the oath as a President of the Haryana Congress Party on August 7 and all dedicated workers of the party would be invited in the oath taking ceremony. He said that after taking the oath as a President, he would visit to each district headquarters and would propagate the high ideals, principles, and other party affairs as well as policies.
