CHANDIGARH: Akeel Khan of Pakistan will be the leading contender for the $10,000+Hospitality India F8 Futures which will be played from August 6 to 11 at the Harvest Tennis Academy at village Jassowal (Kular), 31 km from Ludhiana in punjab. 
 

Director Coaching Gary O'Brien and Tournament Director Simmy Saran told newsmen here on Tuesday that top players from more than 10 nations would be seen in action at the Harvest Tennis Academy. They  said that players from Pakistan, China, Japan, USA, Ruissia, Germany, Korea, India and Brazil would be seen in action in the main draw of 32 players.
 
O'Brien and Simmy said that 454th ranked Divij Sharan had withdrawn on July 30. Akeel Khan of Pakistan is ranked 535th. Ju Jr Wang of China is the second highest ranked player in the main draw. 
 
Top 20 players  will receive direct entry into the main draw on the basis of their world rankings. Eight players would advance to the main draw after playing qualifying rounds. Four players will be given wild cards. There will be qualifying draw of 64.

Eleven Indian players are among 20 who will receive direct entry in the main draw. They are Vijay Kannan (62nd), Aditya Madkekar (707th), Navdeep Singh (708th), Vivek Shokeen (726th), Ashutosh Singh (748th), Vishnu Vardhan (793rd), Purav Raja (823rd), Tushar Liberhan ((1026th), Kiran Nandkumar (1170th), Shivang Mishra (195th) and Sriambalaji Narayanaswamy (1246th).
