Hardev Singh and Rishi retires from Punjab Sports dept |

CHANDIGARH: Sports Director Pargat Singh and other members of the Punjab Sports Department and the Punjab State Sports Council today gave a warm send off to Superintendent Hardev Singh and Deputy Director Ravinder Kumar Rishi on their retirement after serving the department for more than 30 years each.
Wishing them well, Pargat Singh praised their role in promoting sports activities and showing dedication towards their job.Pargat Singh garlanded Rishi and Hardev and presented them a token of gift to them on behalf of the Sports Directorate and the State Sports Council. Hardev Singh, who joined the Sports Department as a clerk on November 26, 1976, sought premature retirement today after rendering meritorious service for 30 years. He was promoted as senior scale stenographer in 1981 and made superintendent on March 2, 2007. Ravinder Kumar Rishi joined the Punjab Sports Department on November 15, 1974 as a gymnastic coach. Founder secretary of the Sports Acrobatic Federation of India and international gymnastic judge, Rishi served the department for a long stint of 33 years. During his service, Rishi had produced a number of national and international gymnasts. |
