CHANDIGARH: Thirty Two N.C.C. cadets of Haryana who participated in the Republic Day Parade, Prime Minister Rally and All India Thal Sainik Camp were honoured by Haryana Governor, Dr. A.R. Kidwai at a function in Haryana Raj Bhavan today.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr. A.R. Kidwai said that N.C.C. is one of the main youth organization which plays important role in many fields of the human life. After Army and Para Military Force, N.C.C. is the third line of the defence which provides assistance to the he people during natural calamities and other eventuality. The Haryana Chief Minister, Bhupinder Singh Hooda, who was also present on this occasion said that N.C.C. played an important role in channelizing the abundant energy of youth in a constructive manner. He said that the priority would be given to the N.C.C. cadets in recruitment of Police Force. He said that a unique N.C.C. Complex would be constructed in the premises of M.D.U. Rohtak to strengthen this force. He said that N.C.C. was also helpful in infusing a feeling of patriotism among youth. Haryana Finance Minister, Birender Singh said that an amount of Rs.6.5 crore has been earmarked for N.C.C. during the current financial year as against Rs. three crore in 2005-06. He said that refreshment money for the N.C.C. cadets has been doubled by the present State Government. While speaking on the occasion Group Captain and Deputy Director General of N.C.C. N.L. Khan said that honouring of the cadets would motivate the ambassadors of peace and discipline to work for strong and united India. A display of Aero and Ship modeling was presented by the N.C.C. cadets of Number two, Haryana squadron and Naval Wing of Faridabad on this occasion. The thirty two N.C.C. cadets which included eight girls who were honoured by the Haryana Governor, Chief Minister and Finance Minister included Sandeep Kumar, Pardeep Chaudhary, Johny Rana, Mohan Lal, Munish Kumar, Vinkal Prashar, Vinay Soam, Altaf Hussain, Avinash Tiwari, Raj Kamal, Seema, Harmeet Kaur, Reena Lather, Salender Kumar, Rohtash Singh, Navdeep Singh, Aman Chauhan, Aditya Rao, Puneet Lamba, Vishal Khatri, Manish Lakhera, Avtar Singh, Ankush Atri, Nishat Boora, Surinder Kumar, Deepak Attri, Parmod Kumar, Poonam, Dimpi, Poonam, Monika and Bharti Mor. |
