CBI files status report in dera case in High Court |

CHANDIGARH: The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) on Wednesday submitted a status report of the investigations made into the cases against Gurmit Ram Rahim Singh, head of dera Sacha Sauda, in the Punjab and Haryana High Court.
The CBI has registered three cases of rape and under section 120B pertaining to indulging in criminal conspiracy against Baba Gurmeet. Gurmit Ram Rahim Singh has been made main accused in all the three cases. The CBI had on Tuesday filed chargesheet against dera Chief in Ambala sessions court which has issued summons for August 31 asking all accused to appear in person. The Dera chief is accused of murdering Ranjit Singh, who threatened to reveal the name of those who were involved in wrongdoings inside the Dera headquarters at Sirsa, and killing of Sirsa journalist who reported the case. |
