CHANDIGARH: Hosts Desh Prem Azad Academy will meet Ajit Karam Singh International Public School Academy in the opening match of the Invitational Chandigarh Inter-Academies Cricket Tournament for Under-11 on August 3 at St Stephen's School ground in Sector 45.

Releasing the draw here today, DPA Academy chairman Dronacharya Azad said that all matches will begin at 2.30 p.m and it would be a 25 overs each side affair. However, the semi-finals and final will be of 35 overs each side. In case a match is washed out, points will be divided between the two teams.
 
Eight teams have been selected for the tournament and they have been divided into two pools and two top teams from each pool will qualify for the semi-finals.
Pool A will comprise DP Azad Academy, Vivek High School Academy, Ajit Karam Singh International Public School Academy and Kapil Academy.
 
St John's Academy, Guru Nanak Public School Academy, Shivalik Public School Academy and Mohali Cricket Academy are in pool B.
