CHANDIGARH: Punjab and Haryana High Court on Monday granted bail to Bharat Inder Singh Chahal media advisor to former Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh in a case of alleged land grabbing and an attempt to murder.
The order was pronounced by Justice Surya Kant of the High Court, who had reserved his judgement on August 13. The case was registered against Chahal on June 10. Chahal has already been granted bail in a case of alleged failure to return the mercedes car of a Patiala resident and a case of non-payment of kitchen equipment provided by a Mohali resident. He is at present in judicial custody in Patiala jail in a case of possessing assets disproportionate to his known sources of income and the Ludhiana City Centre scandal.
