FATEHGARH SAHIB: Rift in a radical political party  Shiromani Akali Dal(Amritsar) came to fore with the party president Simranjit Singh Mann  directed his party leaders and activists not to participate in any programme of Khalsa Action Committee(KAC).

The party senior vice president Daljit Bittu hoever has announced certain programme of KAC while addressing a press conference in Fatehgarh Sahib.

Both Mann and Bittu were earlier in jail following the charges of the sedition and recently came out from jail on bail.  Bittu is co-convener of KAC. Mann is against KAC while Bittu is supporting its programmes. Former Akal Takht Jathedar Bhai Ranjit Singh had also opposed the working of KAC and leveled serious allegations against KAC members. 

In a statement issued from Mann office today, directions were issued to his party men not to participate in any programme of KAC as the party had dissociated with KAC. Mann said that meetings of KAC members with representatives of state government and Dera Sacha Sauda chief had created certain suspicion. He said that his party will not come close to KAC till it clarified it position.  

Mann said that his party had created on Akal Takht and such allegations were never leveled on the party that it had denigrated Sikh community.  He claimed that his party can solve all issues and two ideologues could not work in the party. He said that Political Affairs Committee (PAC) of his party is full strengthened to deal with any political, religious and panthic issues.
 
While addressing press conference in Fatehgarh Sahib Daljit Bittu announced certain programmes of KAC. He said that KAC will take out Khalsa marches to create awareness among the Sikh masses about Dera Sacha Sauda issues and other issues. He said that KAC would launch a mass movement against controversial godman --Ashutosh, chief of the Divya Jagran Jyoti Sansthan (DJJS) for his alleged anti-Panthic activities.

When contacted Kanwarpal Singh, Spokesperson of KAC, he said that Bittu is co-convener of the party and working actively. He said that we hope and seek support from Mann also. He said that there is no such iota of truth in the allegations leveled against the KAC.  He claimed that KAC members are committed to the cause of the panth whatsoever happened in the past regarding meeting of Delhi Sikh Gurdwara Management Committee president Paramjit Singh Sarna and the
mediators of the Dera Sacha Sauda is an open secret.

He said that KAC took exception and sought resignation from Sarna from convenership of the KAC. With Sarna resignation the chapter stands closed, he concluded.
