CHANDIGARH: Punjab Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal Tuesday directed the state Chief Secretary to direct the District Administration and all the Heads of the Departments to extend due courtesy and respect towards ex-serviceman.  

Disclosing this here  a spokesman of the Punjab Government said that it was often brought to the notice of Chief Minister that district authorities as well as the heads of the departments neither gave due respect to ex-servicemen nor view their problems with due concern and importance.   He asked the Chief Secretary to instruct the concerned officers/officials forthwith to respectfully listen to the grievances of both the serving defence personnel as well as the ex-servicemen and spare no efforts for their early redressal.
