FATEHGARH SAHIB: Mystery involves the alleged abduction of 16 year old Sargam daughter of famous Punjabi singer Sardool Sikander’s  sister  by two youth on Rakhsha Bandhan day.

On the statement of Sargam mother Karamjit Kaur, a resident of Guru Teg Bahadur Nager, Khanna, and Khamano police has registered a case under section 363 of the IPC against Laddy, a resident of village Hargana near Khamano of the district Fatehgarh Sahib and started investigations.

Sources said that Karamjit Kaur in her complaint to police said that she had gone to tie Rakhis to her brothers Bharpur Ali and Sardool Sikander at village Kheri Nodh Singh of district Fatehgarh Sahib on August 28 when around 2 pm a village resident Jagdish immediately entered their house and told that two youths has forcibly taken her daughter on motorcycle. She said that her brother Bharpur Ali and some other villagers started their search.

She said that they learnt that the youths had taken her daughter towards village Bhoud and they started to chase them. She said when her family was searching the youth, she found that the accused left her daughter in village Bhour, where former village sarpanch Darshan Singh found her but they fled from there.  She said that on inquiry from people they learnt the identity of accused Laddy of village Hargana.

After registering case against Laddy, the Khamano police has started investigations in the case.  Though the police has registered an abduction case on the complaint Karamjit Kaur but people are not ready to believe on the story told by Karamjit Kaur. When this correspondent contacted some residents of village Kheri Nodh Singh, while pleading anonymity they said that if the police will thoroughly verify the case, truth will come to fore that whether the girl was abducted or had gone with youths on her own.
