Punjab police book 'broker' on complaint by Delhi inudustrialist |

FATEHGARH SAHIB: Punjab police has registered a complaint against a ‘broker’ Walia (full name was not mentioned in FIR) under section 420 of the IPC in Mandi Gobindgarh police station , on the complaint of Sataya Narayan Aggarwal, a resident of Pritampura, New Delhi. Walia had allegedly committee a fraud of Rs 27.5 lakh with Aggarwal.
As per Aggarwal, he has an induction furnace Parvati Steel and Allied at Kala Amb in Himachal Pardesh. He said on August 22 he got a phone from one Mr Walia from Mandi Gobindgarh that he introduced himself at owner of a firm SS Ispat Udyog and requested him to send kulfi (ingot) and he will charge Rs 150 less commission on per tonne as comparative to others. He said that he had sent the around 35 metric tonne ingot on August 26 but Mr Walia rejected it and refused to take the delivery on August 27 on the plea that he is not satisfied with the received material. He said that they had to sold this material to some others. He said that on the same day his son got call from Walia had requested him to supply 200 tone imported scrap at the rate of Rs 19,000 per metric tonne. He said that though Mr Walia had taken Rs 27.50 lakh from his firm but did not fulfill his commitment as per the deal as his phone is switched off. He said that when they inquired after visiting the office of SS Ispat , they have come to know that Walia is not employee of their firm and they do not know any person of Walia name. After receiving the complaint police registered a case against Walia.
