AMRITSAR: Two unidentified persons fired gunshot on point blank range in an attempt to kill Punjab Police ASI (Assistant Sub Inspector) Gurwinder Singh here Friday.

The two alleged unidentified accused who fired gun shot on ASI fled from the scene immediate after committing the crime, said police.

After the incident, injured ASI was shifted to Government Guru Nanak Dev Hospital where his condition was described out of danger.

ASI in his complaint expressed his doubt on Prabjot Singh who has hatched the conspiracy to eliminate him since the same Prabjot Singh had fired gun shots on Roop Singh father of ASI Gurwinder Singh on August 31, four years back.
