Haryana Govt. authorises secretaries to engage law officer |

CHANDIGARH:Haryana Government has authorized all the Administrative Secretaries and Head of Departments to take decision while engaging the law officer or advocate from the latest panel of advocates, approved and circulated by the State Government to plead the cases of Haryana before the Supreme Court and other Courts or Tribunals at Delhi.
While giving this information here Tuesday, an official spokesman said that the latest panel of advocates approved and circulated by the State Government would be available with the Legal Cell, Haryana Bhawan, New Delhi at the time of taking decision for filing the cases in the Court at Delhi in consultation with the office of Advocate General, Haryana. He said that the Counsel so engaged in such cases would have to produce a certificate that none of his family members had earlier appeared in that case from the opposite side. Also, they have to send a progress report of each case to the Legal Cell, Haryana Bhawan, New Delhi for their continuous updation of record, he added. The spokesman said that the Legal Cell would send a monthly report regarding the status of all cases at Delhi to the Director, Prosecution, Haryana to forward it to the Government on a regular basis. The Resident Commissioner, Haryana Bhawan, New Delhi had made available a conference room for conducting consultation with the counsel engaged at Haryana Bhawan which may also be used by the departments. |
