CHANDIGARH: Haryana Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda on Wednesday expanded his cabinet with inclusion of two more cabinet ministers A.C.Choudhri and Mange Ram Gupta. Governor A.R.Kidwai adminsitered the oath of secracy to new ministers here in the evening.
Haryana Governor on the advice of Chief Minister allocated portfolios to two Cabinet Ministers and also made certain changes in the portfolios of seven other Ministers. Among the newly sworn in Ministers, A.C. Chaudhri will hold the portfolios of Urban Local Bodies, Industrial Training and Vocational Education and Technical Education. Mange Ram Gupta will hold the portfolio of Education and Languages and Transport. Birender Singh will hold the portfolios of Finance, Planning, Institutional Finance and Credit Control and Excise and Taxation. Harmohinder Singh Chatha will hold the portfolios of Agriculture, Cooperation, Animal Husbandry and Dairying and Fisheries. Capt. Ajay Singh will hold the portfolios of Irrigation, PWD (B&R) and Elections. Lacchman Das Arora would be Minister for Industries and Commerce, Mines and Geology. Randeep Singh Surjewala will hold the portfolios of Labour and Employment, Water Supply and Sanitation and Parliamentary Affairs. Kiran Choudhry, Minister of State will hold the independent charge of Forests, Tourism, Sports and Youth Affairs and Environment. Savitri Jindal, Minister of State holds the independent charge of Revenue and Disaster Management, Consolidation and Rehabilitation. The portfolios of remaining members of the Council of Ministers would remain unchanged.
