CHANDIGARH: Haryana Chief Minister, Bhupinder Singh Hooda Wednesday said that he has written to the Prime Minister to get the CBI probe speeded up into the case of former Chief Minister, Om Prakash Chautala.
The Chief Minister was replying to the question of mediapersons in the press lobby of the Haryana Vidhan Sabha here. He said that this Central agency being impartial and having its credibility, would certainly go to the depth of the issue. When asked that would the Commissioner Rohtak Divison continue to conduct enquiry into the case of murder of Rakesh alias Lara in Gohana recently and related incidents despite the fact that CBI has been asked to do so, Hooda clarified that as the CBI has initiated the enquiry, now the Commissioner would not conduct the enquiry. When asked to comment that the Commissioner Archives, Dr.Harbaksh Singh had been reinstated within four days after he was suspended for abstaining from his meeting, Hooda said that the officer has felt sorry, therefore, he has been pardoned on humanitarian grounds. Hooda said that as he was attending on his ailing niece who was suffering from cancer, he could not attend the meeting. |
