PATIALA: Former chief Minister Capt. Amarinder Singh Monday welcomed the appointment of Rahul Gandhi as general secretary of AICC and hailed that he has entrusted the charge of youth congress in the party. 

Capt. Singh said here that with the appointment of Rahul Gandhi the party would get more support from youth.

He also welcomed the appointment of Rajinder Kaur Bhattal as PCC president and Mohinder Singh KP as working president. He said that now Punjab Congress will give fight to ruling SAD-BJP government and will check the unrestrained behavior of it.

He also welcomed the appointment of Margret Alwa as the AICC incharge of Punjab Congress.

Vijay Inder Singla the president of Punjab youth Congress also welcomed the appointment of Rahul Gandhi and said with this youth will get new transfusion. He also welcomed the appointments of Rajinder Kaur Bhattal, Mohinder Singh KP and Margret Alwa.
