CHANDIGARH: University Grants Commission(UGC), New Delhi has announced the date for UGC National Eligibility Test (NET). The test would be on December 16 , 2007 in 66 centers all over India. Last date for submission of duly filled forms is October 23, 2007.
Anshu Kataria, Chairman, Aryans Educational and Charitable Trust, an NGO engaged in creating awareness for UGC NET Exam all over the country, said that the trust has decided to provide the facility of free UGC-NET forms yet again this time in various colleges of tri-city viz Chandigarh, Panchkula, Mohali. Sarpanch, Panchayat secretary suspended FATEHGARH SAHIB: Director Rural Development and Panchyats has suspended village Damheri Sarpanch Rajinder Singh along with the panchyat secretary Gobinder Singh. Sources said that the Director has taken the action against the duo after Block Development and Panchyat Officer (BDPO), Bassi Pathana submitted his report. Sources said that BDPO submitted his report that serious allegations were leveled against the Sarpanch, despite repeated reminders the Sarpanch did not present the record, which clearly indicated that there is embezzlement in funds so the Sarpanch has no right to work on this post. The Director ordered that the charge of the Sarpanch should be given to other authorized Panch. Dr Walia appointed Punjabi University senate member FATEHGARH SAHIB: Eminent educationist and Mata Gujri College, Fatehgarh Sahib principal Dr Gurmohan Singh Walia has been nominated senate member of Punjabi University, Patiala. Dr Walia is among the senior principals in the state. 200 patients examined in medical camp NAWANSHEHAR: Nearly 200 persons were examined and given free medicines at the 84th Free Medical Check-up camp organized by the Doaba Social Welfare Society, Nawanshahr today at Gurudwara Guru Nanak Nagar here. A team of doctors comprising Dr Amit Saini, Dental Surgeon, Dr Ranjiv, Heart Specialist, Dr Jatinder Basra, Medicine and Dr Amarjodh Singh Sandhu examined the patients. ADC Pritam Singh Johal and SP(H) Jagtar Singh Kainth jointly inaugurated the camp. |
