CHANDIGARH: UGC  National Eligibility Test (NET) June , 2007 test result was Friday declared by University Grants Commission (UGC), New Delhi.

The test was conducted on June 24 this year. It is to be mentioned the University Grants Commission conducts the National Eligibility Test to determine the eligibility for the lectureship and for award of Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) for Indian post graduates. The UGC conducts NET Examination twice a year i.e. in June and December. As per the result declared, 448 candidates have qualified for JRF . These candidates are also eligible for Lectureship.  Only 5,344 candidates have qualified for Lectureship. 

Mandi Gobindgarh MC to set up solid waste plant
Fatehgarh Sahib: Municipal Council, Mandi Gobindgarh will set up a solid waste plant with the cost of Rs 3.65 crore in the town.  Vinod Mehta, Executive Officer of the council informed that the Punjab Pollution Control Board had engaged Punjab State Council for Science and Technology (PSCST) to carry out detailed study of Municipal Sold Waste (MSW) management practice in Mandi Gobindgarh to assess the quantity and quality of MSW, to study the existing mechanism of storage, collection, transportation and disposal of MSW and to develop economically viable strategies for its scientific management. He said that PSCST carried out a detailed study and then submitted report to the council. He said that Rs 3.65 crore will be spent on setting up of the plant.
       
Chak De India star to give fundas to management students
Chandigarh:  "Chak De India" star Tanya Abrol known as "Balbir Kaur" would be discussing management fundas as experienced and learnt by her in the film with the students of Aryans Business School (ABS) at Press Club, Chandigarh on 13th October (Saturday). Other renowned management gurus including Prof. S.P. Singh, Dr. K.K. Mangla and Dr. S.V. Malhotra, would also enlighten the management concepts.

She will be interacting with the students on management concepts like "leadership", "motivation", "team spirit", "group performance", "stress management", "conflict management", "unity", "esprit de corps" (cooperation), etc which are revealed in the film itself. The MBA students at ABS would learn the practical application of management theories and fundas which till now they were learning in classrooms.

 Anshu Kataria, Chairman, ABS, said that "Chak De India" has already been made a part of MBA curriculum and as the first phase in it, Tanya Abrol has been called up to interact with the students. He added that this event will be a great support in providing the students an introduction about the Case Study.
