CHANDIGARH: Punjab Leader of Opposition and Congress President Rajinder Kaur Bhattal, here today, thanked the congress workers/ leaders for participating in large numbers from all parts of the state, in the “Charge Taking Function” held yesterday at Congress Bhawan, Chandigarh.

She also expressed deep gratitude to Margaret Alwa, General Secretary, All India Congress Committee and Incharge of Punjab Congress Affairs and Mrs. Ambika Soni, Union Tourism and Culture Minister for taking time out of there busy schedule and participating in the function.

 She said that central leaders presence in the function and word of advice motivated the congress workers to work with greater zeal, enthusiasm, grit and determination for improving and broad basing the image of congress party in the state.

Bhattal emphasized that congress workers were the backbone of the party and their interests would be watched at any cost. She reiterated that she would take all the congress men together to fight atrocities committed on the workers by the ruling party, to act as watch dog to counter the misdeeds of SAD-BJP and also to build the image of the party in the state.
