FATEHGARH SAHIB:  A former village Dhunda Sarpanch Jaswinder Kaur allegedly embezzled panchyat funds and misutilised development grants of Rs 1.20 lakh in the year 2002 and now Bassi Pathana police has registered a case against her under sections 406, 420 of the IPC.The case was registered on the complaint of Bassi Pathana Block Development and Panchyat Officer (BDPO).

As per reports after receiving complaint from villagers against the former Sarpanch, Fatehgarh Sahib Deputy Commissioner recently marked the case to the BDPO, who requested the police to register the case. After registration of the case, now Economic Offence wing of the police is investigating the case. Sources in police department said that the Sarpanch is still at large.
