Raipur Khurd team wins first state Dodge Ball Championship

CHANDIGARH: The three days 1st Junior Chandigarh State Dodge Ball Championship concluded sunday at Shishu Niketan Model Sr. Sec. School Chandigarh. Government High School, Raipur Khurd won championship in boys, where as Sri Guru Harikrishan  Public School sector 40 won championship in Girls.



S.K. Sandhu, IAS, Finance and Sports secretary, Chandigarh Administration and Sh. B.S. Sudan, IAS Commissioner Ferozpur and Faridkot Division Jointly presented the trophy to both the team.

Speaking on the occasion Sh. Sandhu complimented the efforts of the Dodgeball Association to popularize the game among the students. Welcoming the Chief Guest Sh. B.S. Sudan, IAS, President Dodge Ball Association Narrated the History of Dodge Ball which started about 600 years ago in Africa and from there it went  to Europe and USA. He further stated that the players would be prepared to take part in National Tournament. He congratulated the wining teams and patted the
losing teams for better preparation in future.

G.P. Pal General Secretary presented the report of the Association. Mrs. S.Khorana, Senior Vice President and Director Principal Shishu Niketan Model Sr. Sec. School presented vote of thanks and assured the association to provide all facilities in future also.

Prominent among others who attend the concluding function were Mrs. Suman Sudan, Mr. R.J.S. Brar, Mrs. Amita Khorana, Dr. B.S. Teer, Mr. P.S. Brar, Mr. Prem Vij and others members of the Association.
