PATIALA: State Bank of Patiala is celebrating its 90th Anniversary and Foundation day on November 17 and it has been decided to celebrate the anniversary in a grand fashion starting from October 28 till December 8 with a sequence of activities spread over different dates. 

A. C. Varma, Managing Director of state Bank Of Patiala in a news conference here today said that a marathon run "Run Patiala Run" Run for Environment will be held on October 28 at 7.00 am from Thapar University to NIS, Patiala, which will be flagged off by Sh. Navjot Singh Sidhu, Member Parliament and former cricketer. A badminton championship will be organized at NIS, Patiala on 4 th November 2007, where one team of 5 members only from each zone of Bank will participate. One men's single one women's singles and one mixed doubles will be organized. A Twenty – Twenty overs cricket match will be held on 11 th November 2007, at YPS Stadium, Patiala between MD's eleven and CGM's eleven. 

An inter-zone cultural event will be organized in our Bank's auditorium on 17 th November 2007 from 5.00 pm to 8.00 pm, where teams from all the seven zones of our Bank and head office will participate. The celebrations will be concluded on 8th December 2007 by holding a grand musical evening at NIS, Patiala from 5.00 pm onwards. Dance items, skit by winner of inter-zone cultural event and promonent singers will perform in the concluding ceremony.
