CHANDIGARH: Chairman and Managing Director of one of the world's leading infrastructure development concerns, the Larsen and Toubro (L&T) A.M. NaikFriday called on the Punjab Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal at New Dehi.
Badal's Media Advisor, Harcharan Bains, described the meeting as a part of a series of 'preliminary, exploratory and general interactions with investors' but said that the infrastructure development in the state was on the agenda of the meeting. Mr. Bains said that the meeting was in response to the Chief Minister's public invitation to all major infrastructure development companies and investors to have a stake in the development of the state as the climate for investment there was 'ideal for tapping constructive and creative synergies of growth through public-private participation.' Apart from Naik and Badal, the Punjab Chief Secretary R.I. Singh, Special Principal Secretary to CM K J S Cheema and Additional Principal Secretary to CM were present in the meeting. No specific proposals or projects were discussed, official spokesman said. |
