CHANDIGARH: The four day CII Chandigarh Fair closed here on Monday has generated business inquiries worth well over Rs 16 crore and over 2 lakh consumer and business visitors thronged the fair, which was on from 2- 5 November 2007.

A CII spokes man said on Wednesday that visitor profile ranged from industrialists to entrepreneurs, academicians and professionals to consumers from all walks of life. The 185 participating companies represented diverse sectors of the economy, covering the spectrum from MNC majors to fledgling entrepreneurs. Both, as well as all categories in between, reported the fair a user-friendly platform for transacting business and generating awareness.  

Special attraction in this year's Fair was the International Arcade 2007 stocking a bouquet of products from 12 countries displaying a distinct collection of consumer products. Adding to the ambience was the Mega Brands 2007 with Diwali bonanza by all the exhibitors, North India Auto Show 2007 with a gleaming array of vehicles and other expos including Consumer, Kitchen, Persona, Décor and Finmart with the new launches and festive offers. State Pavilion 2007 making its debut with a treasure trove of unusual arts and crafts culled from states like Bihar, West Bengal, Goa had the exhibitors happy to the core with the tremendous response at the Fair.
