LUDHIANA: International Human Rights Organisation (IHRO) and its Coordination for Sikh Affairs have formed a new website termed the Dasam Quest, which looks to dispel the myths and questions that detractors have related to the Dasam Granth.
IHRO chairperson D S Gill and its Coordinator for Sikh Affairs, Gurcharanjit Singh Lamba (Editor Sant Sipahi), stated this here today. The site, they said, also features videos and audio with lectures by learned individuals on the Dasam Granth. "The lectures include the significant Panthic Meet last year at the historical Zafarnama Fateh Divas which was essentially the three hundred anniversary of sending of the Zafarnama," they said, adding that a discourse on Dasam Granth by Sant Jarnail Singh Bhindranwale is also featured on the site. "There are various essays on the Dasam Granth (DG) that will help visitors, new to the Granth, in understanding its importance for the Khalsa Panth and neutralising the detractors of the DG, especially the so-called missionaries based at Faridabad and led astray by the Spokesman daily." The site has amply accomplished the task of dispelling the myths and false allegations made regarding the Dasam Granth, they asserted, asking visitors to the site to send in their questions related to the Dasam Granth, and the team, they said, would respond by providing the answers. The questions submitted to date include Is Dasam Granth also a Granth like Guru Granth Sahib. Is Triya Chritra part of Dasam Granth? Is it true that since the time of the writing of Dasam Granth, there has been a controversy about its authorship? The site also gives the latest directive on the Dasam Granth from the Akal Takht (November 2006) and cites previous Hukamnamas against certain individuals who have been ex-communicated for writing against the Tenth Master's Bani.
