Punjab govt committed to promote trade and industry: Badal Print E-mail

LUDHIANA;  The Punjab Chief Minister,  Parkash Singh Badal, Sunday reiterated the SAD- BJP government's commitment to promote trade and industry in the state with an active participation of the stake holders, because " best policies   are those which are formulated and implemented with their involvement".

 

Paying glowing tributes to Maharaja Aggarsen on the Punjab Pradesh Aggarwal Sammelan here, Badal said that Maharaja Aggarsen was an embodiment of Sacrifice, Compassion, Non-Violence, Peace and Prosperity. He was a true Socialist, as he had started a new concept by framing a policy that every family in his city would provide a brick and one rupee to every new family that came to his state to settle there, so that they could be able to construct a shelter for themselves and could start their business with the support of other fellow residents.

Lauding the contribution of Aggarwal community in restructuring the Indian economy, Badal said that this community deserves all appreciation for bringing prosperity not within the country, but abroad also through the promotion of trade and commerce through their sharp acumen of business. The Chief Minister said that as fulfillment of   one of our election manifesto promises,  our government would soon  establish three boards: one each for Large and Medium Industry; Small Scale Industry; and Trade.  These boards will have representatives from the concerned field and will give practical shape to the program of 'Make and implement your own policy.'  

The Chief Minister pointed out that our Government is committed to make Punjab, a 'natural investment destination' by offering world-class road infrastructure and air-connectivity for which we have already taken major initiatives and planned programmes.

Responding to the demands put forth by  Punjab Pardesh Aggarwal Sammelan, Amrit Lal Aggarwal, Mr. Badal  said that the subway would be constructed soon on Ferozepur road near Aggar Nagar and also promised to set up   a museum to depict the  life and philosophy  of Maharaja  Aggarsen .

Prominent among others who present on the occasion included  Hira Singh Gabria Minister for Jails, Cultural and Tourism Affairs,  Harcharan Bains Advisor to CM Punjab,   Balwinder Singh Bhunder Secretary General SAD,  Sumer Singh Gurjar Deputy Commissioner,  R K Jaiswal SSP,  Pardeep Mittal President Akhil Bhartiya Aggarwal Sammelan and   Dr Nand Kishore Garg Ex- Chief Parliamentary Secretary Dehli Govt.
