BATHINDA: Parkash Singh Badal Chief Minister of the state said that a special meeting would be held in Delhi on November 23 to discuss the construction of the planned highway from Anandpur Sahib to Nanded in Maharashtra.
The meeting will be presided by Union Home Minister Shivraj Patil in which the Chief Ministers of Punjab, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh and Maharashtra will also take part. Badal, with his wife, was attending a marriage ceremony, shortly interacting with the journalist He said, “The state government has been trying its best to provide basic services to the people.” Detailing about the plans for celebrating the purb, Badal said, “Anandpur Sahib and Talwandi Sabo will be given special consideration from the development point of view.” Speaking about the increased price of wheat, he said, “it had been done to motivate the farmers”.
