NEW DELHI:The cold war between Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal and his predecessor Amarinder Singh does not seem to end as some Congress MLAs are ready to file a petition in the Supreme Court for transfer of Badals’ trial in DA case outside Punjab.
“The petition in which has been finalised for filing in public interest seeking the transfer of the corruption and disproportionate assets case against the Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal to Delhi,” sources said. They said that the petition which has listed many reasons for seeking the transfer of the case will be filed within a day or two after getting a final decision from Capt Amarinder Singh. The Congress MLAs, who did not want to open names till the petition in which explained that is actually filed, said that under the prevailing conditions “fair and impartial” trial was not possible in Punjab as 23 of the crucial witnesses, who are mostly government servants, had “turned.The appeal also claiming that “complete proceedings before the Ropar court are being disrupted by the prosecution at the instance of the main accused, who now is the Chief Minister”
