FATEHGARH SAHIB:The term end  examination for December 2007 of Indira Gandhi National Open University(IGNOU) is going to commence from  December 1 and will conclude on December 31. 
 

Dr. Ashok Sharma, Regional Director of IGNOU informed that the university   has established 588 examination centres which include 35 overseas centres and 11 centres in Jail for jail inmates. He said that examination Intimation Slips (Hall Tickets) have been issued to 2,78,747 eligible students who had applied for appearing in the Term End Examination.

The detailed hall ticket status is also available on IGNOU website. The students may download their hall ticket from the University website and appear in the examination at their respective examination centre.

Dr. Ashok Sharma informed that in Punjab and Chandigarh, twelve examination centres including two for jail inmates have been constituted and 31,441 students are going to appear at these centres in Punjab. All the centre superintendents have been
instructed to allow students to appear in examination, even if they do not possess the hall ticket but their names exist in the list of examinees for that centre.

He advised such students to be in possession of their Identity Card issued by the University during the examination.
 
Dr. Sharma further informed that separate hall tickets shall be issued to the students of BCA and  MCA for their Term End Practical. Students are advised to contact the regional centre in the last week of December for their practical examinations.
