AMRITSAR: The raidcal organisations including Shriomani Akali Dal(Amritsar) led by Daljit Singh Bittu and Hardcore Sikh organization  Damdami Taksal on Monday reacted sharply to the criticism of installation of portrait of Sant Jarnail Singh Bhinbdrawala inside Sikh museum in the Golden Temple complex at Amritsar.

These organisations have warned of dire consequences if Congress party and other outfits mainly Shiv Sena didn't stop interfering in the Sikh affairs.

PPCC president Rajinder kaur Bhattal on the other hand met Punjab Governor Gen.(Retd) J.F.Rodrigues and demanded to remove the prtrait of Sikh militant leader from the museum.

"If anti-Sikh offensive continued, severe punishment would be given by Sikhs", Bittu said in hard hitting statement. He was reacting to a statement by a faction of Shiv sena that they will go to Amritsar to remove the portrait of Sant Bhindrawala, whom they see as "killer" of thousands of Hindus.

Bittu saiod that Congress and other parties has no business to mingle in Sikh affairs. This is for the Sikhs to decide who are their martyrs. He said that Congress and other organisations were pushing Punjab into circumstances that led to militancy in early 80's.

He said that Sikh reaction would be spontaneous if anybody tried to malign the name of Sant Bhindrawala. He said that after operation blue star former Prime Minsiter Indira Gandhi was killed in similar circumstances when operation blue star was conducted to destroy Golden Temple. He thanked SGPC for installing the portrait though it is belated action.

Harnam Singh Dhuma serving chief of Damdami Taksal in a separate statement in Amritsar warned the PPCC chief Rajinder Kaur Bhattal to stop criticism against the installation of portrait Sant Jarnail Singh Bhindrenwala in the Sikh museum of Golden Temple in holy city of Amritsar.

Talking to the media  Dhuma described his predecessor Sant Jarnail Singh Bhindrenwala as martyr of Sikhism as he had laid down his life for the cause of Sikhism.

Dhuma also urged the UPA President Sonia Gandhi to refrain Bhattal against the criticism of installation of portrait of Bhindranwalla in the Sikh museum of Golden Temple.

Dhuma said that by criticizing the installation of portrait, Bhattal directly interfering in the internal affair of Sikhs and it would certainly disturb the peaceful situation of Punjab.

Dhuma said that there would be dire consequences if the Congress leadership did not stop to interfere in the internal affairs of Sikhs while criticizing the installation of portrait.

Adding further Dhuma said that Congress leadership should draw lesson from the past and should not repeat the bloody history in the peaceful Punjab.

Dhuma said that Sikh Museum in the Golden Temple is meant to display the portraits of Sikh worriers and Sant Jarnail Singh Bhidnrwala was the  hero of Sikhs.

It may be mentioned here that during the peak days of Terrorism in Punjab all the terrorist outfit was under the direct command of Damdami Taksal when Sant Jarnail Singh Bhindrenwala was the chief of Damdami Taksal during the year of 1983 and 1984.
