we are publising views of Jasbeer Singh on news item on Sant Jarnail Singh Bhindrawala's portrait installed in the Golden Temple Sikh museum on November 29,2007.
"No comments about the news report, but the last 3 paragraphs are highly objectionable and slanderous.
No one has provided any credible evidence to support the allegations that Sant Jarnail Singh Bhindranwale was supporting, directing or harbouring any 'terrorists'.
Reports in independent media provide ample support to popular belief that India's intelligence and police operatives were planning, plotting and implementing the most sensational acts of violence and then blaming the same on the Sikhs and the Sikh leadership.
Further evidence, published by the Director of IB in his book 'Open Secrets', clearly describes how they were recruiting gullible Sikhs to participate in their nefarious activities, which were then used to spread ill-will and slander against Sikhs.
What additional purpose was achieved by your ending paragraphs other than to ignite more resentment, ill-will and hate.
I hope your publication is not funded by the government to spread anti-Sikh sentiment in Punjab / India and elsewhere. If that is not the case, they are getting tremendous value withour spending any of their own resources.
Please think the effects of what you are writing before sending it to the press.
May Almighty God bless you with wisdom to at least match the power of communication of your publication."
