Asian rowing medal winners Manjeet, Kanav, Parmod honoured

CHANDIGARH: The Chandigarh Rowing Association honoured international rowers Manjeet Singh and Kanav Dosajh who recently won medals in the 12th Senior and 13h Junior Asian Rowing Championship held at Chunju City of South Korea.



Manjeet Singh won one silver and one bronze medals in Coxed Eight (M8+) and Coxless Pairs (M2-) for India in the 12th Senior Asian Rowing Championship held at Chunju City from October 14-19.  Kanav Dosajh won bronze in coxless fours (JM4-) 13 th Junior Asian Rowing Championship which was also held at Chunju City.  Majeet Singh is leaving for Hyderabad tonight for attending the national training camp for qualifying for Olympic being held at Beijing in 2008.

CRA Honorary Secretary CRA and Chairman Media and PR Commission of Rowing Federation of India Parmod Kumar Singla, who has been awarded the International License for Umpiring for Rowing by Fédération Internationale des Sociétés d' Aviron (FISA) at Jomtien, Pattaya, Thailand on December 2, was also feliciataed by the CRA.
