AMRITSAR: Deputy Commissioner Amritsar Kahan Singh Pannu on Friday said that enquiry report of fake ‘Power Attorney’ of Prime Minister House has been sent to Punjab Government.

Pannu said that fake power of attorney was made of Prime Minister House, 7 Race Course Road of New Delhi which was issued by the Executive magistrate Rajesh Sharma.

Pannu said that High level enquiry has been conducted and on the basis of report, powers of Sub Registrar have been withdrawn from Executive magistrate Rajesh Sharma and departmental action has also been recommended to the Punjab Government.

Pannu said that a criminal case would be registered under section of 420 406, 468,120 B of IPC against the Stamp Vendor for preparing fake documents for Power Attorney.

According to the Revenue Department, fake Power Attorney was prepared from Manmohan Singh son of Gurmukh Singh resident of 7 Race course Road, New Delhi in favour of Mr. Chowdry.

The two city based advocates also appeared as a witness at the time of preparation of Power Attorney.
