Mann lashed at SGPC Chief Makkar for giving Siropa to Bachchan

AMRITSAR:President of Shriomani Akali Dal Amritsar and former Member Parliament Simranjit Singh Mann on Saturday lashed at SGPC Chief Avtar Singh Makkar for giving Siropa to the Amitab Bachchan and other family members during their visit in the Golden Temple here on Saturday.



Mann said that Amitabh Bachchan was equally responsible like Jagdish Tytler, Sajan Kumar, Bhajan Lal for allegedly instigating the mob during the anti Sikh riots occurred 1984 immediate after the assassination of former Prime Minister Indra Gandhi.

Mann said that Bachchan and his family were given Siropa inside the sanctum sanctorum of the Golden Temple on the behalf of the SGPC and SGPC is being headed by the Avtar Singh Makkar.

Mann also blamed the Jatehdar Akal Takht (highest Sikh temporal seat for maintaining silence on the issue of Siropa given to Bachchan and his family.

Mann also condemned SGPC for extending VIP treatment to the Bachchan family during their visit in the Golden Temple.

Mann said that Makkar and Vedanti should come forward  with apology before the Sikh Sangat for giving Siropa to Bachchan and his family.

Bachchan family consisting, Amitabh Bachchan, wife Jaya Bachchan, son Abishek Bachchan, daughter in law Aishwarya Bachchan, brother Teji Bachchan and family friend Samajwadi Party leader Amar Singh today morning arrived Golden Temple amidst the tight security cover to pay obeisance and to perform pray for the eternal peace of Teji Bachchan.
