FATEHGARH SAHIB: A team of Vigilance Bureau led by Patiala DSP Anil Kumar arrested Fatehgarh Sahib District Development and Panchyat Officer (DDPO) Mohinder Singh from his office while accepting bribe of  Rs 20,000. A case has been registered against him under various sections of Prevention of Corruption against the DDPO. He will be presented in the court on Tuesday. 

Sources said that Pankaj Sharma, who is working as  Panchyat Secretary of village Buchre and Wizerabad alleged that the DDPO demanded Rs 40,000 from him for doing a inquiry in his favour, which was intiaited by the DDPO in development works in these villages. Sources said that it was decided that Rs 20,000 will be paid in advance while Rs 20,000 will be paid after completion of inquiry in his favour.
