FATEHGARH SAHIB: A blood donation camp was organised at RIMT-Institute of Management and Computer Technology, Mandi Gobindgarh campus by the students of the institute.
In this camp about 150 students, members of the faculty and other staff members of the institute donated blood. The camp was inaugurated by Dr. B.S. Bhatia, the director general of the institute. A medical team from the Blood Bank, Government Rajindra Hospital, and Patiala specially came to the RIMT-IMCT campus for this purpose. The team was headed by Dr. Harpal Singh. Other members of the team were Sukhwinder Singh, Gurcharan Singh, Baljeet Kaur and Gopal. Speaking on the occasion Dr. Bhatia applauded the efforts of students' donors and student organisers of the camp. He said that constructive activities like blood donation help in inculcating among the buddy managers and technocrats the sense of social responsibility which is gaining huge amount of support in the corporates around the world. Dr. Surender Singh, the director of the institute, conveyed thanks to the students on the behalf of the RIMT group chairman Hukam Chand Bansal and congratulated them for carrying such a noble cause for the sake of humanity. The students looked enthusiastic and they were seen vying with each other to donate blood. None of the students faced any problem after donating blood. The main student oraganisers of the camp were Sandeep Singh, Pardeep Kumar and Ashish Yadav. Among the faculty members Prof. Vishal Bhatnagar and Prof. Tejinder Brar coordinated the camp. |
