CHANDIGARH: In the trial of Harpreet Kaur murder case Dr. Tarsem Singh posted in a Primary health centre in Begowal for last 20 years, where dera of Bibi Jagir Kaur is located told the court that when body of Harpreet Kaur was brought for last rites, a large crowd was present and his face was not covered but he did not look at the face.

He also said that his wife who helped bathe the body before being cremated saw face and body parts and there were no signs on injury marks.

Defense counsel Satnam Singh Kler today requested the court to summon the record from Punjab Police in which Dr. Tarsem recorded his statement. It needs mention here that an IG rank officials of those days who initiated inquiry into the case recorded statement from Dr. Tarsem. Next date in the trial is fixed for February 15.
