CHANDIGARH: Punjab Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal Wednesday described 'Bains family' as one of the most respectable and finest families in the State which had made outstanding contribution to strengthen the Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) through their selfless service and dedication. 

Addressing on the Bhog ceremony of S.Gurdev Singh Bains the elder brother of Media Advisor to Chief Minister Harcharan Bains here at Gurdwara Santsar, Sector 38 (West), Badal termed the untimely demise of Gurdev Singh as a personal loss to the SAD in general and to him in particular. 

Expressing gratitude to Harcharan Bains, the Chief Minister said that, "Though it was not an opportune movement still I don't hesitate to comment that notwithstanding the fact I have become the Chief Minister of the state for the fourth time with the blessings and support of people of Punjab but at the same time the immense contribution of Bains could not be ignored who fought relentless political battles one after another in the media through his sharpened wit and caliber'.
