MUMBAI: Markets are trading firm in the early trade on Tuesday with the benchmark index Sensex gaining 2.6 percent or 393 points. It is trading at 15,683 levels.

In broader markets, Nifty is in green territory by 117 points or 2.5 per cent and is trading at 4727 levels. Buying is visible in information technology, banking, realty and metal counters by over three per cent each.

The other Asian markets are also trading firm on Tuesday. South Korea's Kospi, Hong Kong’s Hang Seng and Japan's Nikkei are in the green by over 1.2 per cent.

Reliance Energy at Rs 1205 gaining 4.7 per cent or Rs 54 is the biggest gainer in the BSE-30 pack. Jaiprakash Associates, ICICI Bank, DLF and Infosys are some of the other major gainers.
