LUDHIANA: Youth Akali Dal (YAD) President and Member Parliament from Ludhiana Sharanjit Singh Dhillon Tuesday expelled Jalandhar based Parshotam Lal Sondhi from primary membership of party's youth wing.

 

Dhillon said Sondhi stand expelled with immediate effect for misconduct.          

Asserting that Sondhi's case should not be construed to make general observations about youth workers, Youth Akali Dal President clarified that during membership drive it was not possible to do scrutiny at micro level and taking advantage of this Sondhi might have obtained membership.

"Now when his real character has come to fore, we make it very clear that none of the leader or workers of Youth Akali Dal would lend any sort of support  to Sondhi or his companions.

The stern action taken against him must be construed as a general warning that any one found indulging in nefarious activities would be dealt in strictest possible manner", said YAD President.     

Dhillon said SAD-BJP alliance in state is committed provide "corruption free", public friendly regime and there was no place for notorious elements like Sondhi.

He said congress, which is trying to make it a political issue for vested interests, need to be reminded that earlier Parshotam was aligned with congress and had even obtained their membership during previous congress government.      

Dhillon appealed the masses that in future too it any of the youth Akali Dal workers indulge in anti- social activities, it must be brought into his knowledge directly. He said action would be taken against guilty with less than 24 hours.
