JAMMU: An armyman at the Nagotra-based 16 Corps headquarters in Jammu and Kashmir, allegedly ended life by shooting himself.

While informing this a  Defence spokesman said that twenty-three year old Manish Kumar, a jawan of the Signals Regiment posted at 16 Corps headquarters shot himself with his service rifle.

He belonged to the Haridwar area of Uttarakhand.

Army authorities have ordered a court of inquiry into the incident, he said.
