PATIALA: On the second day of 6th Sardar Sajjan Singh Sethi Memorial Shooting (Indian Masters 2008) Championship started with the 4th, 5th qualifying rounds of the Mens Trap Event, Mansher Singh acquires first position in qualifying rounds .

Overnight leader Mansher Singh continued his good form and retained top position in the qualifying rounds. Zorawar Sandhu lost ground to Manajit Sandhu who emerged in the 2nd spot with 117 points. Birendeep Sodhi finished 3rd at the end of qualifying rounds.

The top 6 shooters in the 5 qualifying rounds namely Mansher Singh (120 points), Manavjit S Sandhu (117 points), Birendeep Sodhi ( 115 pts) Zorawar S Sandhu (114 points), Anwar Sultan (112 points), Anirudh Singh (111 points) made it to the finals.

In the Finals, Mansher Singh went on to win the Mens Trap event with a score of 139 (120 + 19). Manvjit Sandhu 135(117+18) and Zorawar Sandhu 135(114+21) finished tied for 2nd position.

The second position was decided by a tie shoot between the two which was won by Zorawar Sandhu

Final positions:             

Mansher Singh             1st

 Zorawar sandhu         2nd

Manavjit Sandhu          3rd

Birendeep Sodhi         4th

Anwar Sultan                5th

Anirudh Singh              6th    

The official practice round for the double trap event will start on Friday.

Col Rajyavardhan Rathore will be taking part in the double trap event.
