PATIALA: Twenty-two sportspersons have been qualified so far for Beijing Olympics from India.
Raja Randhir Singh secretary general of Indian Olympics association (IOA) disclosed it here Thursday while interacting with media persons. He was here to attend the Indian Masters 2008 of 6th Sardar Sajjan Singh Sethi Memorial Shooting Championship at New Moti Bagh Gun Club Shooting Range, at village Main near here. He said that India would bank upon its hopes for medals in Beijing Olympic Games. The following athletes from India have so far qualified for Beijing Olympic Games. Archery: Women team of 3 members, one male Archery Shri Mangal Singh and one female Archer Ms Donal Banerjee Boxing: 1. Shri A.L. Lakhra, 57 Kg. 2. Shri Akhil Kumar, 54 Kg, 3. Dinesh Kumar, 81 Kg, 4. Jitender, 51 Kg, 5. Vijender, 75 Kg. Shooting: 1. Shri Manavjit Singh Sandhu, 2. Shri Abhinav Bindra, 3. Shri Gagan Narang, 4. Shri Rajyavardhan Singh Rathore, 5. Shri Sanjeev Rajput, 6.
