CHANDIGARH: Member all India Congress Committee and former Minister S. Jagmohan Singh Kang has congratulated State Congress President Rajinder Kaur Bhattal on being exonerated by the Court in an alleged case of mis-appropriation of funds of Chief Minister Relief Fund amounting to Rs.20 lakh.

He said that though the workers and leaders of the Party had expressed their desire to accompany her to Court during her appearances  for expressing solidarity with her, she did not allow anyone or  any directions were issued to accompany her to the Courts nor any senior leader was asked to stand by her as per her contention to contest the case at personal level.

Kang said that finally “Truth has prevailed” and it has infused a spirit of happiness amongst the Congress workers and leaders.

He further said that Congress cadre will express solidarity and unity to sweep the forthcoming Panchayati Raj Institutions and later Parliament elections in the State under the dynamic leadership of UPA Chairperson Smt. Sonia Gandhi and Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh .
