CHANDIGARH: Punjab and Haryana High court Justice and Chairman Punjab Legal Services Authority Mehtab Singh Gill Sunday expressed deep concern over the drug addiction among the youth and described Punjab as main hub of drug smuggling.

Talking to the media persons here  Justice Gill said that unless the nexus between politicians and drug mafia is not smashed, it would be difficult to get rid of the drug addiction and free flow of drug in Punjab.

Adding further Justice Gill has said that it is highly unfortunate that youth of Punjab are badly indulged in drug addiction, whereas they ought to be busy in sports and cultural activities but the drug smuggling in India from Afghanistan through Pakistan has made Border Town Amritsar as strong hub for drug in Punjab and smuggling of narcotics has ruined the future of youth.

Justice Gill said that if nexus between politicians and drug mafia is smashed, the eighty percent drug problem would automatically come under control.

Justice Gill was here Sunday in the local Khalsa College being Chief Guest during the Convocation function.
