WSMR Union to stage protest on 21 June at Patiala

Water Supply and Must-roll Workers Union have decided to stage protest on 21 June in front of the office of Chief Engineer at Patiala.  This decision was taken today, in an important meeting headed by State President, Sukhnandan Singh Mahenia.
 
On this occasion, talking about the demands of the workers, the president said that 256 workers should be regularised in Water Supply and Sanitation Department against the vacant post, which earlier could not be adjusted, full service benefits should be extended to those employees who have more than ten years services and were regularised on 24 May,2011, anomalies in pay should be removed, promotion channel should be finalised like other departments, Class III and IV employees should be given promotion according to their qualification.
 
He further said that despite giving a demand notice, the Chief Engineer has not given time to the Union and is using delaying tactics.
 
The President said that in case no solution to the demands is finalised by 20 June, a protest will be organized on 21 June at Patiala and move to gehrao the ‘kothi’ of Chief Engineer and he will be responsible for the consequences.
 
A good number of leaders and employees were present in the meeting.

KOLKATA: Ranbir Kapoor has cleared the air about his forthcoming release "Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani" (YJHD), being preceived as "unethical", and said films are made to entertain people, not to spoil the society."I don't see anything unethical about the movie.
